RubberFurs is proud to team up with FURRJOI for our first design contest! This event gives everyone a chance to turn creative ideas into real silicone gear. Furthermore, whether you draw daily or just started, we welcome you to join.

Keep in mind this contest is intended to create gear inspired by our official mascots, Axis! (You might find the refsheet below)

Submit Your Entry

Note: Before submitting your entry, keep in mind that it must be anonymous and not posted publicly before we do. Failing to do so will result in disqualification. We highly recommend reading all the rules before submitting.

We decided to go by that name since Axis mean connection, and it is what we are truly looking in RubberFurs. To everyone to engage with everyone a create a very healthy comunity. They represent each one of you.
Also, they are a shapeshifter and use neutral pronouns since we truly believe it is fitting that each one can have their own interpretation of what Axis is.
Finally, this mascot is as much ours as it is for each member of the RubberFurs community.

All times use Central European Summer Time (CEST). However, dates may change slightly. Therefore, we will post any updates on our social pages.

Prizes

Placement	Prize package
1st place	$100 USD cash, a 5% royalty on sales revenue for the first 6 months, and one finished product based on their own design
2nd place	$80 USD cash and a FURRJOI hood or pair of paws of their choice
3rd place	A FURRJOI hood or pair of paws of their choice

FURRJOI sponsors all prizes directly. However, 2nd and 3rd place prizes come from our current catalog. In contrast, only the 1st place design goes into production. Additionally, full bodysuits are not allowed.

Contest Rules & Guidelines

1. Eligibility

First, this contest welcomes all artists, no matter your skill level.
Additionally, ensure your design is 100% original. Specifically, you must own all rights so FURRJOI can produce it.

2. Design Requirements

Theme: The design must be Axis themed.
Creative Freedom: First, feel free to pick any species you like.
Gear Feasibility: Next, make designs that factory molds can easily produce as silicone gear, like hoods or paws.
Originality: However, avoid copyrighted artwork. As a result, we will reject stolen content.

3. Submission Process

How to Enter: First, email your artwork anonymously to contact@rubberfurs.net so voting stays fair.
- Subject Line: Use (RUBBERFURS X FURRJOI CONTEST ENTRY) – [Your Nickname].
Publicity: Keep your art private! Specifically, do not post your design on social media until voting starts.
Deadline: Therefore, send all entries before Friday, September 11th, 2026, at 12:00 PM CEST.

4. Contest Phases

Submission Window: First, the contest opens Friday, July 31st, 2026, at 10:00 AM CEST. Then, entries close Friday, September 11th, 2026, at 12:00 PM CEST.
Review Phase: Next, organizers review all entries from September 11st to September 18th, 2026.
Community Voting: After that, top designs enter 1v1 polls on X and Bluesky on September 18th, 2026. Each poll lasts 2 to 3 days. Also, we count votes from both sites.
Production: Finally, FURRJOI picks the winning design and makes it into real gear.

5. Licensing and Rights

Exclusive Rights: First, the top winner will sign a simple deal. This lets FURRJOI make and sell the gear design.

6. Branding and Conduct

Joint Event: RubberFurs and FURRJOI run this event together. Therefore, all promo posts will credit both brands.
Fair Play: Additionally, all artists must play fair. Consequently, we will disqualify anyone who cheats or acts unfairly.

faq

What can I submit, and how many times?

You can only submit once per artist. Feel free to reply to your own submission if you need to make corrections. Submissions must be sent by email to contact@rubberfurs.net, and please don't share your submission publicly, since doing so will disqualify you from the contest. You can use any method (3D, 2D digital, or traditional) as long as it's not AI-generated and the design clearly resembles Axis.

Are AI-generated designs allowed?

Absolutely not. At RubberFurs we appreciate artists and creativity, so use your actual imagination instead!

How do I know my submission was accepted?

We'll reply to your email with a confirmation and an entry number.

I don't have any ideas to submit. Can you help me?

Sure! Feel free to go wild with your design. Axis is a dragon in the official ref sheet, but you're welcome to use any species to make your design more unique. You can also play around with the color palette, gender, or whatever else you feel like, as long as people can still tell it's Axis.

Are there any limitations to the design?

The head is essential, since it's the iconic part that makes a design recognizable as Axis, so every submission needs to include one. Beyond that, since the idea is to bring your design to life, try to avoid overly long ears, tails that are too heavy, structures that could get stuck in the molds, or heads that are too round. Ultimately, Furrjoi reserves the right to make adjustments during production to make it possible to bring to life.

What kind of gear can I design?

Go wild! Hoods, handpaws, feetpaws, bodysuits, or anything else you think could be brought to life. Just remember the head is required. You can absolutely include other gear too, but that's what we'll focus on most during evaluation.

Can I submit multiple designs?

Unfortunately no, since we want to keep things fair and give everyone the same chances. That said, a single submission can include multiple designs, like a hood, bodysuit, paws, and a small tail all together.

Can my design be rejected?

We'll try not to, but if we think it's unfeasible to produce or make publicly available, we'll let you know the reason. After that, you're free to make corrections and submit again!

Can I submit something that is not related to Axis?

Sorry, no. 😔
